This morning I attended my the launch of a new project: iGiveBackNow. It is an online funding facility hosted by UnionBank for Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) where ordinary citizens can donate to a cause with just a click of a button. The site's primary beneficiary is the President Cory Aquino School Desk Project which aims to provide school desks and chairs to more than five million elementary school children. For us who are privilege enough to have gone to good schools, it may be hard to imagine studying without any desks or chairs but for five million children in the Philippines, this is their reality.
Donations can be made electronically on this site through the use of credit cards, online banking and ATM-Megalink.
Donate now and help a child get his or her own chair and desk.
