Real Ways to be a WAHM: The Virtual Assistant Edition (August 31, 2013)

It has been more than a month since I became a work-at-home-mom or WAHM.  Compared to the WAHMS that I admire and follow like Dainty Mom and The Happy WAHM, I have barely scratched the surface.  I'm still a bit overwhelmed on how to go about everything:  applying/bidding for jobs, marketing my skills, managing my time and most importantly, securing jobs.

I welcome any information I can get that will help me in this new venture of mine.  That is why I am so glad that there is an upcoming workshop called "Real Ways to be a WAHM: The Virtual Assistant Edition."  Organized by Manila Workshops and Wahmderfullife.com, this is the third installment of the WAHMderful Life workshops.  I had attended the first workshop of this series last October 2012 and it was one of the catalysts for me to decide to become a work-at-home-mom.

Sponsored by Unilab, the workshop will be held on 31 August 2013 (Saturday), 9:00am - 5:00pm at co.lab 3/F Unit 301 # 3 Brixton St., Brgy. Kapitolyo Pasig City.

The topic for this workshop is very relevant for me since I would like to pursue a career as a Virtual Assistant focusing on transcription and social media and community management.  However, the workshop is not just for WAHMs but also work-at-home-dads (WAHDs) and work-at-home-singles.

Here are just some of the topics that attendees can look forward to:

  • Coping strategies for WAHM Virtual Assistants
  • Brand yourself, WAHM!
  • Transcription 101
  • Social Media and Community Management

I can't wait for this workshop! Is it August 31 already?
